About UPS & Our Culture

When UPS says immediate hire, we mean it. During peak season, our package center teams expand by thousands of associates in a matter of weeks, and we have built our onboarding system to get people working — and getting paid — as fast as any warehouse employer in America. If you are searching for seasonal warehouse jobs hiring immediately with a brand name you trust, competitive hourly pay, and a genuine shot at a permanent career, our Peak Warehouse Sorter position is open and ready for you right now. No lengthy application process, no multi-week waiting period — UPS peak hiring is designed for speed because the packages do not wait for anyone.

What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)

"I applied on a Monday and was working by Thursday. The onboarding process at UPS during peak is extremely fast and well-organized — they know how to bring large numbers of people in quickly without it feeling chaotic. The pay was better than I expected for a seasonal warehouse job hiring immediately, the overtime was genuinely available, and I was offered a permanent position before the season even ended." - Former Peak Sorter, Now Permanent Associate, Seattle, WA.

Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Seasonal Peak Warehouse Sorter, you join our package center sort operation during the November-through-January holiday window, processing the highest package volumes of the year with speed and accuracy that keeps America's holiday delivery commitments intact.

• Rapid Onboarding & Immediate Start: Complete UPS's streamlined peak-season onboarding process — safety orientation, method training, and first sort shift — within days of your offer letter, with your first paycheck arriving the following week without exception.
• Peak Volume Sorting: Sort dramatically elevated holiday package volumes on high-speed conveyor systems, reading destination routing codes and diverting parcels accurately to outbound lanes at full production rate within your first few shifts on the job.
• Overtime Priority Access: As a seasonal sorter during peak, you have first access to available overtime hours during the highest-volume weeks — Black Friday, Cyber Monday, pre-Christmas — generating a seasonal paycheck significantly larger than standard hours provide.

Benefits & Perks

UPS Seasonal Peak Warehouse Sorters receive competitive hourly pay, weekly direct-deposit paychecks, and significant overtime availability throughout the peak window. Associates who demonstrate performance and reliability during the seasonal period receive formal permanent hire consideration — converting a temporary position into a Teamsters union career complete with medical, dental, vision, pension, and UPS Earn & Learn tuition benefits.
